Description
Tom Corbett was the Governor of Pennsylvania from 2011-2015. Before that, he served as PA's Attorney General, most notably working on the Jerry Sandusky case at Penn State University, which led to his indictment in 2011.
His career began as an assistant district attorney in Allegheny County in 1976, and was first elected to public office as a Commissioner in the Pittsburgh suburb of Shaler in 1988.
Corbett was born on June 17th, 1949 in Philadelphia, PA. He attended Lebanon Valley College, where he met his wife Susan. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1971-1984, and reached the rank of Captain within the 28th Infantry Division PA National Guard unit.
