Curtis Vreeland is the President of Vreeland & Associates. He specializes in marketing research and analysis, as well as events management. He is responsible for producing the company's U.S. Chocolate Market Report that provides sales data on the overall market for chocolate, including trends and forecasts.
He's been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, and many others as a leader in the chocolate industry. He first established his reputation in the mid-1980s as Hershey's Manager of International Operations on Cocoa, and has visited most of the major cocoa-producing regions.
He's founded Next Generation Chocolatier, the first national competition on finding America’s best new chocolate makers. He's opened the Harrisburg chapter of Slow Food, an international organization that's dedicated to a food system that is good, clean, and fair. He also founded the PA Wine Society, and as an amateur winemaker, earned three national awards.
