June is here, which means that Harrisburg is trying to finalize negotiations on the new state budget. After fears of looming deficits and the need to make hard choices, the legislature actually finds themselves in the opposite position. State revenues are up and federal stimulus money is pouring into the state, which means that there needs to be a decision made on how to spend it all. While the budget may take center stage, there are other key issues coming to the fore, such as school choice vouchers, gun laws, and election audits.
To discuss all of this, and more, we are joined by Jan Murphy of PennLive, Justin Sweitzer of City & State Pennsylvania, and J.D. Prose of the USA Today Network.
