While we still must wait another month for the legislature to begin their annual budget process, there are things happening in Harrisburg right now. Both parties are making their cases on two key constitutional amendments that voters will decide on in two weeks. The redistricting process has begun, and Pennsylvania has officially lost a congressional seat in the U.S. House. The Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, officially voted to begin the process of consolidating six of their fourteen schools. Of course, the coronavirus pandemic remains in the background of all of this. State officials maintain that the pace of vaccinations is slowing down, and there are increasing reports of hesitancy among swaths of the population.
Joining us to discuss these issues, and more, are Stephen Caruso of the Pennsylvania Capital-Star, and Christen Smith of The Center Square.
