Parents and students begin the college loan and grant application process for the 2020-2021 school year early in the year. The cost of higher education, tuition and room and board is increasing, and state support leveling off or even decreasing compared to inflation, so college affordability is on every high school parent’s mind. To explain some of the options students have are: Tracey Smith, Assistant Vice President for Strategic Recruitment and Services with Harrisburg Area Community College; Diona Brown, Higher Education Access Partner with the PA Higher Education Assistance Agency; and John Falleroni, Senior Associate Director of Financial Aid Enrollment Management Group with Duquesne University, who will join the program via phone.
