In a press conference on Jan. 2, Gov. Tom Wolf announce he wanted to do mental health what the administration did for the opioid crisis, increase awareness, encourage conversation, and protect the mental health of Pennsylvanians diagnosed with mental illness. He declared on all agency push to de-stigmatize mental illness and those who suffer from mental health challenges. The plan recommends more social workers in schools, suicide counseling, including veterans outreach, and improving insurance coverage of mental illness. Health and Human Services Secretary Teresa Miller will outline the administration's proposal and answer viewer questions.
