Senator Mike Regan says that sudden cardiac arrest is a leading cause of death among student athletes. This disruption to the rhythm of the heart can lead to unexpected tragedy when the athlete has an undiagnosed heart condition. Senator Regan's bill makes student athletes aware of the benefits of having an electrocardiogram test performed before they play sports. It's called "Peyton's Law", named after Peyton Walker of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, who died of cardiac arrest at age 19. November 6 at 8pm, on cable and the PCN Select Streaming service.
