Gender Identity and Facilities Access

The U.S. Supreme Court decided not to hear an appeal of a Pennsylvania case, Joel Doe vs. Boyertown Area School District, leaving in place its policy allowing students to use the bathroom of their gender identity rather than the one corresponding with their sex assigned at birth. Another complaint was filed this year in the U.S. Department of Education Office of Civil Rights by a female high school student in Honesdale, Wayne County over a locker room being used by a boy identifying as a girl.
