The House was in session the week and passed several bills addressing child sexual abuse. These bills were among recommendations stemming from the grand jury investigation of clerical abuse of children by Catholic priests. A number of press conferences were held that call for enactment of legislation. The PA Legislative Black Caucus held one to require additional police training on how deadly force is used. Another was held by Fair Districts PA and called for passage of redistricting bill, which coincided with Sen. Lisa Boscola’s redistricting bill clearing a Senate committee. A third was held by Attorney General Josh Shapiro detailing the findings of a Medicaid fraud grand jury. Those issues and more will be discussed by this week’s guests: Andrew Bahl, State Government Reporter with The PLS Reporter, Katie Meyer, Harrisburg Bureau Chief with WITF-FM; and Brad Bumsted, Harrisburg Bureau Chief with The Caucus. Our host is Brian Lockman.
