PA Governor Residences

Join PCN as we tour the residences of Pennsylvania Governors, spanning from historical estates to the site for the current Governor in Harrisburg. Featured historical tours include Curtin Village in Howard, PA, the childhood home of Gov. Andrew Curtin; Pennypacker Mills in Schwenksville, PA, the family home of Gov. Samuel Pennypacker; and Grey Towers in Milford, PA, the house of Gov. Gifford Pinchot. See below for a full schedule.

 

Friday, December 14

7:00 PM        PA Governor Residences: Curtin Village.

Tour of Curtin Village, the home of Gov. Andrew Curtin (1861-1867). This Federal-style home was built in 1830.

 

7:20 PM        PA Governor Residences: Pennypacker Mills

Tour of Pennypacker Mills, the home of Gov. Samuel Pennypacker (1861-1867). This Colonial Revival-style home was built around 1720.

 

7:35 PM        PA Governor Residences: Grey Towers

Tour of Grey Towers, the home of Gov. Gifford Pinchot (1923-1927 and 1931-1935). This Norman chateau-style home was built in 1886.

 

7:55 PM        PA Governor's Residence: Harrisburg

Tour of the official residence of the sitting Governor, located in Harrisburg. This Georgian-style home was built in 1968.
