Millersburg Borough

When settling in Dauphin County, Daniel Miller, namesake of Millersburg Borough, intended for parcels of land to be used as public space. Today, Millersburg residents can gather in their many parks, restaurants, and cultural establishments.  On this episode of Exploring PA Boroughs we visit the locations that make Millersburg special.

Take a ride on the Millersburg Ferry, a wooden paddle ferry that's been crossing the Susquehanna for over 200 years.  Enjoy a walk along the newly renovated paths of River Front Park, before making your way into Market Square at the center of Millersburg's business district. Market Square is host to many of Millersburg's events, including the annual Cherry Blossom Festival, Holiday Tree Lighting, and Tour de Millersburg bicycle race. Grab a bite at the Wooden Nickel, or Williams French Fries before catching a show at the Twin Valley Players Colonnade, a hybrid first-run movie theatre, and playhouse. Step back in time at the Millersburg Historical Society Museum, housed in the old municipal building. Venture outside of the borough to visit the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art featuring  over 12 miles of hiking trails, 3 art galleries, and an amphitheater for live performances. There's so much to see and do in Millersburg, visitors of all ages can enjoy themselves in this riverside borough.
