Though the governor and the Republican majority in the legislature have their own ideas for the budget, House Democrats say they're taking their spending ideas directly to the people. House Minority Leader Rep. Frank Dermody says hosting town halls on the phone has given Pennsylvanians a chance to ask questions about Democratic spending priorities like school funding, raising the minimum wage, and fixing the state's roads and bridges.
