You are here: Home / Archive Focus On Aging Adults / Focus on Aging Adults: Scam Protection for Seniors

On this month's episode of Focus on Aging Adults, we aim to protect Pennsylvania Seniors against scams and fraud. With advancements in technology and more seniors online, the risk for scams has increased. We'll talk about how to stay safe while surfing the web, red flags to look for when reading emails, and how to spot a fake web address. But, there are many ways scammers try to steal your money or identity, we'll share tips on spotting a scam and what to do if you're contacted by a phony via telephone or mail.

Our guests include: Mary Bach, Chair of the Consumer Issues Task Force for AARP of PA; Bruce Myers of the Consumer Issues Task Force for AARP of PA; and Sarah Frasch, Director of the bureau of Consumer Protection at PA Attorney General's Office.

Watch Focus on Aging Adults and more PA Politics & Policy on cable and the PCN Select streaming service.
