You are here: Home / Archive It's History / It’s History!: The Clemente Museum

It's History! is in the Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh this week to visit the Clemente Museum. In 1972, Roberto Clemente was tragically killed in a plane accident ending to short a brilliant life. Clemente played 18 season for the Pittsburgh Pirates helping them win 2 World championships. He was the MVP for the Pittsburgh Pirates World Series Championship team in 1971, just prior to his death, and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1973. The museum was born out of a photo archive of the famed Pirates baseball player and is housed in a historic firehouse. The museum features many exhibits and memorabilia on the life and character of Roberto Clemente. Unique collections of baseball bats from athletes new and old, as well as features on other members of the Pirates championship team. Join us as we learn more about Roberto Clemente on It's History!.

It's History airs Sunday nights at 8.
