Chris "Handles" Franklin is a Guard for the Harlem Globetrotters, and grew up watching the cartoons in the 1970s. His first glimpse at basketball, he was hooked, and knew from the age of 6 that was what he wanted to do. He dribbled up and down his street, without a court, practicing and honing his skills.

After college, Handles was featured in Nike commercials demonstrating his freestyle dribbling techniques after winning a "World's Best Dribbler" competition in Washington, D.C. The Globetrotters reached out, and now he travels the world while living his childhood dream.

Handles is still playing with the Globetrotters today, but also takes time to give back to the community. He hosts basketball camps, and has helped renovate several public basketball courts in the Harrisburg area.
