Travel back to December 19th, 2009 on a new episode of PCN Sports Classics. The Lancaster Catholic Crusaders (14-1) took on the Greensburg Central Catholic Centurions (13-2) in the PIAA 2A Football Championship. Lancaster Catholic and Greensburg Central Catholic were both making their PIAA football championship debut in 2009. The Crusaders were led by the prolific passing attack of quarterback Kyle Smith. The senior left hander had set multiple passing records on the season. The Centurions countered with a strong running game led by senior David Miller. But the headlines belonged to Mother Nature. A winter snow storm entered Hershey during the morning hours and did not let up throughout the game. This 2009 weather forecast made for a memorable afternoon of football.
