Description

Named for Robert Morris, the financier of the American Revolution, Morrisville is a borough rich with history and community pride. Located at the falls of the Delaware River, directly across from Trenton, NJ, this borough boasts of having city life with a small town feel.Morrisville is a borough with a devoted council, low crime rates and several cultural and historical places to visit. Residents and tourists are encouraged to visit Greystones, the historic site marking William Penn’s land treaty with the local Lenni Lanape natives. This location is said to be where Pennsylvania began. Want more history, visit Historic Summerseat, the home of Robert Morris and the headquarters of President George Washington prior to the Battle of Trenton. Morrisville, then Colvin’s Ferry almost became the capital of the United States.The business district in Morrisville is vibrant and growing. 21 Locks Brewery is currently under construction in what formerly used to manufacture gaskets, will have live music, food, and of course a brewery. In the mood for dinner and a movie, take in a play at the Heritage Theatre and enjoy a meal at one of the boroughs many restaurants and delis. Morrisville is a great place to raise your family, eat, work and play.
