Julie Holahan is the President of the PA General Store, and founded it with her husband Michael in 1987.
The PA General Store is a retail and mail order company that sells PA foods and goods located within the historic Reading Terminal Market. Selections range from Melrose Diner Butter Cookies and Tastykakes, to baskets filled with soft pretzels and chocolates.
The store started out as a lunch box catering company, but when asked about shipping Tastykakes, they shifted their focus to building a collection of the best PA-made products.
Julie and Michael helped mentor younger vendors, and have developed a second family with the Reading Terminal Market. They have two sons, William and James, and a daughter Isabella.
Since Michael passed away in 2016, Julie has taken over full management of the company.
