George Brown has been the new mayor of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania for about a month.  But that short time span belies his experience with the city.  Born and raised in Wilkes-Barre,  the retired businessman and former city councilman has reached a stage in life when a lot of people would be content to take it easy.   But not Mayor Brown.  After a failed bid for the office in 2015, he roared to victory in 2019  by sweeping all of the city's twenty wards.  Shortly after moving into City Hall, Mayor Brown was faced with the formidable task of creating a budget for the city, which he explains here.
