Democratic candidates for president have been holding debates for months, Congressional candidates are declaring their intent to run, and candidates are lining up for three statewide row offices – Attorney General, Auditor General and State Treasurer. All 203 House seats and 35 of the 50 state Senate seats are up for election. Republicans hold a 17-seat majority in the state House and a 5-seat majority in the state Senate with one special election to fill an open seat set for Jan. 14, 2020.
