Funding for Older Adult Services

Advocates for Pennsylvania's seniors are requesting more funding to provide older adults the services they need in the next fiscal year. The PA Association of Area Agencies on Aging surveyed their members and found that more funding is needed to support services at all 52 agencies in Pennsylvania. The lottery fund, which was put into place to fund senior services, will be in the red for the first time since it's inception due to funds being release to aid the general fund depletion. This month's episode of Focus on Aging Adults will cover the funding of older adult services in Pennsylvania with guests from AARP of Pennsylvania, PA Association of Area Agencies on Aging, and the PA Homecare Association.
