Frederick Anton III was the Chairman of the PA Manufacturer's Association (PMA) Board of Directors. Born in Philadelphia in 1934, Anton lived in southeast PA all of his life. He was a graduate of Haverford High School, Villanova Univeristy, and the Villanova School of Law. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

In 1962, Anton started his career with PMA continuing the association's tradition of political action. In 1981, Anton hosted a bipartisan seminar and luncheon at the Metropolitan Club in New York City on the Saturday of The Pennsylvania Society's annual dinner. PA Governors, U.S. Senators, and other political leaders from both parties attended the event each year.
