Federal District Court and the U.S. Supreme Court refused to intervene to change the Congressional maps put in place by the PA Supreme Court. This occurred just days before the nomination petition filing deadline. Ninety-four candidates filed for Pennsylvania’s 18 newly drawn Congressional districts. With the latest incumbent Conor Lamb elected to a seat that no longer exists, he’ll have to run again in a primary in the 17th district against incumbent Republican Keith Rothfus. Three other seats feature two state legislators running against one another. One primary has eight GOP candidates vying for the 13th District and another, the 5th, has 14 Democrats including eight women running. At the Capitol, the Senate passed a package of domestic violence bills Wednesday, including one that would take firearms from persons against whom a protection from abuse order is filed. To discuss these topics and others are: John Finnerty, Harrisburg Bureau Chief with CNHI and John Baer, Political Columnist with the Philadelphia Daily News. Our host is Brian Lockman.
