"Sunday, October 31st at 6 PM we are giving you an insider’s look into Whitehorse Brewing in Berlin, PA."
Whitehorse Brewing has been crafting beers in Berlin for more than eight years.
"It is a tour of the small, family-owned microbrewery, Whitehorse Brewing," said Graybill. "The tour shows the brewing process of Packsaddle Pale Ale, named after a famous covered bridge in Somerset County."
Owner George Walker said Whitehorse has 80 different styles of beer and they make approximately 400 barrels or 12,400 gallons each year.
"I kind of watch the trends in variety and try to come up with unique things when we can," Walker said in a previous interview.
Graybill said the PCN show will educate viewers about the brewing process and give an insider's look into the Berlin brewery.
"We aim to select entities from throughout the Commonwealth to provide a diverse look at Pennsylvania’s rich culture, history, and economy," she said. "PCN recently featured Somerset County during our Pennsylvania's Neighborhood series in September.
"We toured businesses such as Whitehorse Brewing, Glades Pike Winery, and Milroy Farms. Other Somerset County-based features also included interviews with local veterans, Roof Garden Tractor Buddies tractor-square dance team, and former White House Chef John Moeller; Flight 93 special National Memorial coverage, the Meyersdale Maple Festival and Somerset County Fair.
"All those programs can be watched on demand with PCN Select, PCN's streaming service."
Whitehorse sells to approximately 200 different vendors and never pasteurizes or uses preservatives.
Walker said customers can usually expect to pick up a case at Mostoller's Fuel & Food, Beer Barn, Sarnelli's Market or the Diamond in Berlin.
He employs about 10 part-time and two full-time employees and has a tap room in Washington.
