Somerset County is being featured on TV next month. Here's how to watch.
A spotlight will be shined on Somerset County in early September when the county is featured on PCN's "Pennsylvania's Neighborhood."
The nonprofit television network's program features many of the businesses, museums and people across the county before wrapping up with the 20th anniversary of the Flight 93 crash of Sept. 11, 2001.

Communications coordinator Jessica Graybill said the program will air Sept. 6 to Sept. 12 and re-air on Sept. 25.
"'Pennsylvania’s Neighborhood' explores the beautiful state of Pennsylvania through a special block of programming celebrating each neighborhood’s unique history and culture, sports, and politics and policy," she said. "We wanted to highlight Somerset County’s unique characteristics.
"September 2021 also marks the 20th anniversary of the crash of Flight 93."
Some of the towns being featured are Somerset, Shanksville, Salisbury, Springs and Meyersdale.
PCN also visited Milroy Farms, the Quecreek Mine Rescue Site, Springs Historical Society, Mount Davis, Laurel Hill State Park, Glades Pike Winery, Rockwood Mill Shoppes & Opera House, The Chuck Wagon, Summit Diner and the Somerset Historical Center.
Interviews were also conducted with the Summit Diner's Mitzi Foy, former White House chef John Moeller, Flight 93 National Memorial Superintendent Stephen Clark, author Tom McMillan, Flight 93 oral history project assistants Kathie Shaffer and Donna Glessner, and Terry Shaffer, who was the Shanksville Volunteer Fire Department chief during 9/11.
How to watch
The feature will be available on cable television. Channel listings are available at pcntv.com/channel. It will also be available on PCN's streaming platform, PCN Select, which can be downloaded on computers, smartphones and smart TVs. A subscription is required.
The next Pennsylvania county to be featured will be Crawford County, airing Dec. 14 to Dec. 17.
