College Sports

The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) was created in 1951.  Over the past 60 years,  PSAC has become an exciting, competitive intercollegiate conference.

The league can now boast that it is the largest one-state conference in the NCAA, with 16 permanent schools and a couple of associate institutions.

The 16 member teams belong to Division 11, but seven of them compete with Division 1 schools in select sports. In a typical year, about one-third of the teams that make it into the NCAA postseason hail from PSAC schools.

The league is based in Pennsylvania, and all of its permanent member schools are based in the Commonwealth. PSAC
schools have a combined population of over 127,000 students.

And great performances don’t start and end on the field.
According to PSAC, about 6,300 athletes are given the title “Scholar-Athletes” for earning at least a grade-point
average of 3.25.
