    Since you have been broadcasting Public Affairs in some of the DW time what time shall I record
    DW in english to get it for sure ????

      When the time change took place two weeks ago, it affected the DW schedule. This schedule will be correct until we switch again in the spring.

    Deutsche Welle has changed thier format effective February, 2012.  They have a 24 hour all-English service now directed for the US.  The  commentators are much easier to understand than some of the earlier ones, but the spontaneitty is gone.  Watching is no longer fun.  It seems they are having short, frequent news breaks, more topical discussions and entertainment segments focusing on all of Europe rather than Germany.  I will miss the German programming, too.  I am studying it and DW was a good way for me to hear native speakers.  I enjoyed it for many years when it was for German audiences, and not produced to suit others.

    I just went to try and record some of the German language Deutsche Welle programming (I wanted to start learning German, and came across it late one night), and found that it’s only broadcasting in English now. Very disappointed. :(

    Is there any way we can get back our German language broadcasts back? or find them somewhere else?

    I have been a watcher of DW for years but find the present conversational newsreports most irretating. Perhabs we get soon proper newsreading again w/o the readers personal body language or an exchange in conversation which at least for the older generation is a lot of diretripe.

    In response to earlier comments: If you have verison digital cable you can get the German package. It has two Chanels: Deutsche Welle and Prosieben. Prosieben is all in german all the time. 
    And my problem is now that DW changed there language lineup I am having truble finding out when it is in english other than after 3am. I need to sleep then and don’t understand enough german to get all the details. if any one knows when it is in english during the day in E.S.T. please email me at ldnewell14@gmail.com, Thanks and I hope the first paragraph help yall!
