With Election Day just weeks away, voters will have the chance to learn more about the candidates running for the state’s higher courts before going to the polls on Tuesday, November 3. Beginning Monday, October 26, PCN will air judicial candidate profiles of those running for PA Commonwealth Court, PA Superior Court, and PA Supreme Court as part of the network’s Election 2009 coverage. The special profile programming blocks will continue leading up to Election Day.
PCN will then give voters across the state another opportunity to learn more about the candidates before heading to the voting booth. Beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 2, PCN will dedicate all of its programming to the re-airing of the judicial candidate profiles.
Also included in the network’s special Election 2009 coverage will be the airing of the PA Supreme Court Candidates Debate sponsored by the PA League of Women Voters. The event is scheduled to air on Sunday, October 25 starting at 4:00 p.m. with additional encore presentations scheduled for Monday, October 26 and Thursday, October 29 at 10:00 p.m., Sunday, November 1 at 3:00 p.m. and Monday, November 2 at 4:00 p.m.
