February 19: Tax Exemption for Nonprofits with Joseph Geiger

After a 2012 Supreme Court ruling involving a summer camp in Pike County,  some nonprofits in PA lost their tax exempt status.   Just days ago, the PA Senate Finance Committee voted to give the General Assembly authority that could determine who gets the exemption and who does not.   But that would involve an amendment to the PA Constitution.  Joseph Geiger, Executive Director of the PA Association of Nonprofit Organizations, shares his views.
