Was Punxsutawney Phil accurate?  Is climate change for real?  Viewers can get answers to these and other questions, as winter weather will be the topic of Monday night’s Call In Program.  From the Weather World studios, on the campus of Penn State University.  Paul Knight, State Climatologist and Weather World host, and Fred Gadomski, Penn State University Meteorology Professor and, also Weather World host, were our guests.

Love ‘Weather World’, loved your show this evening. One of the most memorable weather events I survived was the Jan. 1996 flooding in the Susquehanna basin. It seemed that snow melt took everyone in forecasting by surprise. It seems to me that forecasts warning of possible flash flooding has been much more common ever since that winter flood. Does this match your observation/ recollections?
