January 29: Arming Teachers with Rep. Greg Lucas

Rep. Greg Lucas has an idea for protecting kids in Pennsylvania’s schools.  The freshman legislator from Erie and Crawford Counties  has a bill that allows teachers to bring guns into the classroom.  Some think the mere presence of guns in the classroom endangers kids.  But the representative says it’s time to arm the people on the “front line.”

    Teachers have quite enough on their hands already with the dreadful underfunding & undermining of public schools. This is ridiculous travesty of an idea & it will make teachers targets even more than they already are. Pathetic. I’m starting to see the NRA as sheer
    corporate abuse- a tiny handful of apes (no offense to apes) who profit
    handsomely from carnage & mayhem. They accuse the president of
    using kids as human shields, yet the NRA profits from those who use our
    children, sisters, brothers, mothers, fathers & friends for target
    practice. These buffoons need to go the way of Joe Camel. Unfortunately you seem to have forgotten who you work for.
