PCN ANNOUNCES AIRDATES FOR 2009 GETTYSBURG BATTLEWALKS
PCN will air special programming blocks of Gettysburg Battlewalks throughout the Labor Day weekend. Civil War enthusiasts can catch the premiere of the 2009 programs beginning Saturday, September 5 at 2:00 p.m.
The Gettysburg Battlewalks series, which began in 1996, features experts from the Gettysburg National Military Park. Each program takes viewers on a battlefield walk with park historians for an in-depth look into the individual skirmishes and battles during the nation’s bloodiest domestic battle.
On Monday, September 7, PCN will re-air special programs of Civil War historical interest beginning at 6:00 a.m. with a PCN Profiles program featuring Scott Hartwig, a supervisory historian from the Gettysburg National Military Park. Encore presentations of PCN Tours and PA Books will follow. The Battlewalks series will begin later that day at 2:00 p.m.
